Home Grown Hydroponics AZ

Came in here to ask questions and generally poke around with no intention of buying anything yet. I was able to talk to a staff member who showed me all the things I'd need for the NFT system I wanted to build, and showed me a few recommendations. The store was clean, orderly, and had some cool hydroponics setups on display (though no NFT systems).

I've been a customer here for almost 5 years. I bought everything I needed from this store. Now they have a new owner and completely new staff and I can't get them to order anything for me. When they didn't forget to order for me, they ordered the wrong things. I have been waiting for them to tell me what's going on with an RMA on a ballast for over 3 months, then when I asked about it they said " Oh yeah we got credit for it" so I told them to order me a new one. 2 weeks and several calls later when I asked when the ballast would be in they tell me that the warranty was up and they couldn't RMA it. I've lost plants trying to maintain my loyalty waiting on my orders only to have to order it somewhwere else. We miss the old owner and management. I have found a great new store that will have everything I need within a few days at unbeatable prices...Hydroponics Depot at metro center

Went in for the first time and was blown away, everyone in there was friendly and knowledgeable. BUT the last time I went in, it was a Sunday and there was only one person staff which is fine because it wasn't that busy but this guy seemed very unhappy, I asked for advice in switching to botanicare, what supplemental nutrients are needed with the "kind" line, he said "well all of em do different things and you can use them all" he then proceeded to sell me "cal-mag plus" you do not need this in kind because it's a mineral based product.....now I have calcium buildup in the root zone, am out the cash for the gallon, and have an opened bottle that I will not use. Just came back because they're the only people open till 6 on Sundays to find out they closed 15 minutes early. What a joke

If providing superb customer service were a crime, these kind people would be considered the most hardened of criminal scum. If legislature was drafted against hiring the brightest, most personable and knowledgable employees, these folks would have to close their doors immediately and shut down because they'd have to fire their whole staff. In all seriousness, this store is amazing. Got everything I needed for internet prices or less. Came because the reviews were good, wasn't let down. Every retail environment needs to take a page from their book.

I came into the store the first time about a week ago. I had questions about aquaponics and they were happy to help and answer questions and make suggestiond. I have been in there several times since and I have been treated very well even on the days I only bought a 45 cent net basket. There is never pressure to buy. Never anyone rolling their eyes at me. There are shops closer to where I live but this is the shop for me. Thank You Guys Keep Up The Good work!
